Explore the Garden of England, Kent. Spend time exploring “the loveliest castle in the world”, Leeds Castle, then travel to the 100m tall chalk cliffs at Dover. On a clear day you can see all the way to France from this symbol of Britain’s defence and resistance to invasion. There can also be time for a visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial. From there it’s a short journey to Canterbury, site of the first cathedral in Britain.

Leeds Castle

After departing London in the morning, you will head towards Leeds Castle often referred to as The Loveliest Castle in The World, Leeds Castle has played many roles in its nearly 900-year history.

From a Norman stronghold to a magnificent royal palace, the castle today has been converted by subsequent owners into an idyllic countryside retreat.

White Cliffs of Dover

In Dover, we will have a view of the famous White Cliffs. Soaring 350 ft above the crashing waves of the English Channel, the White Cliffs of Dover are an instantly recognisable landmark of Britain.

Time to enjoy a coastal breathtaking walk or simply take in the coastal views. On a clear day, see magnificent views of the English Channel and even France.

 
 

Canterbury Cathedral

The medieval city of Canterbury is dominated by its breathtaking cathedral – it’s the oldest in England and considered to be the centre of English Christianity.

You’ll visit the towering cathedral and be able to follow in the footsteps of pilgrims that flocked to the church following Thomas Becket’s gruesome murder in 1170.

The gothic building hides many visual treasures, from the colourful stained glass windows to the creepy crypt.
